So you are probably wondering how I stay so cherry and peppy when the weather turns the complete opposite. Well I am going to let you in on a little secret! I pretend that I love the cold. lol What I mean by that is that I try to look on the positive side. I get to wear fuzzy socks and scarfs everywhere with no judgement, what could be better than that?! Also, I don't really like hot chocolate but if you do then you have an excuse to drink it all you want. Honestly, winter can be a very depressing time for some people and I have been there. I just really recommend focusing on the happy things and it will be over before you know it.

I know that everyone is super busy with the semester ending and everything but you don't have to stress out too much, I am here to help. Alrighty kiddos! So, for this inspiration post I found this super fabulous plaid scarf in my boyfriend's room. I have every intention of stealing it from him and taking it for myself. I will let you know how that goes. Anyway, I really do enjoy plaid. I don't think that it will ever go out of style, especially if worn in a tasteful manner. Plaid can be overdone, yes but it can also be a great "pop" or "wow" factor. Some people don't fancy plaid but I do and I really wish that I could incorporate it into my blog in some way.

Hello guys! So this is another inspiration post. The picture that I have uploaded is of some text that was on a can in my boyfriend's house. I really liked the text and feel as thought my blog could use some type of fancy to it. I also really enjoy the color of the background. I am  a big fan of purples so this is right up my ally. I really do think that if I ever did a bog for a company of some sort, I would try to find a cursive that was more legible. I hope that you are all having a good weekend.

Alright guys, so today we are going to talk about tips to help you de-stress during finals. First off I want to say that as a Sophomore in college I do understand that the last few weeks of the semester are beyond stressful. I personally shut down and my brain refuses to do anything. So, here are a few tips that I have picked up along the way.

1. DON'T cram! I promise if you do, you will be disappointed in the end.

2. Talk to your professors of you have any questions, they are people too!

3. Try group studying.

4. Get lots of sleep.

5. Believe in yourself.

OMG IT'S TUESDAY



    Hey guys so I just want you to know that this week both of my posts are going to be Inspiration Posts. While I was walking to my second class of the day on the wonderful Slippery Rock University campus, I ran into a few of these bad boys (pictured left). They are all around campus but I have never really taken the time to look at them. First off, the writing that is on the side is completely different than any other font around campus. This both annoys me and inspires me. I really don't like the font but I appreciate that it is different and that is what I stand for. I love being different and thank the almighty spirt above for not making me have the desire to be the same as everyone. 
     So this sign that I usually just pass by inspired me. It made me feel at home here at Slippy and I am really excited to see what else I get the privilege to experience in my next 2 and a half years here.

      Alright kids, so today we are going to talk about simple ways that you can make yourself healthier. You can cut down on T.V. and video games. Also, you can simply just get out and play. Walk to class instead of taking the bus, eat a salad with at least one meal a day, walk around while you are doing daily tasks instead of just sitting still. Any and all of these things will help to increase your heart rate and help you to maintain and increase your health.

It is a good thing to know that just because you are trying to eat healthy does not mean that you can't take a day every once in awhile to eat what you want. Everything in moderation is okay, just make sure that you don't binge and eat everything in your house like I usually do lol.          Alright guys, so on this lovely day I am going to grace you with another fabulous inspiration post. While I was walking to class, way to early in the morning, I came across this tree. Why this tree Miranda? Well, look at it! Compared to all of the other trees, this tree is not ready for winter. He refuses to kick off his leaves and prepare for winter. Random fact: I never understood why when it gets cold trees lose their leave but they would be warmer if they had leaves. Anyway, this tree stood out to be and it inspired me. It made me want to make my blog stand out and be good and consistent throughout the whole semester. I feel that consistency is very important and that is what I aim for. I hope that you all have a really awesome day and you find or see something that inspires you.

     Today we are going to talk about walking. So, let's say that you hate to exercise and you feel that you keep trying to make yourself go to the gym but it just never happens. Here what you do, you walk every where and I mean every where. Take the stairs, walk to work, walk to class, and even just walk for pleasure. The best kind of walk in my opinion is one that you take to clear your mind because you are getting exercise and relaxing at the same time. WIN WIN. If you are ever having a bad day and you feel like the world is against you, go for a walk. When you spend some time with nature it really does make it easier to connect and see the brighter side of things.

         On this great and fabulous day we are going to talk about weight. Yes, I know that it is a terrible and dreaded topic but we are going to talk about it. Since before I can remember I have always cared completely and 100% about the number on the scale. I didn't care how I felt about my body, I just needed the number to become smaller. Now I am aware that a number does not matter! Health means nothing if you don't feel good about yourself. You deserve to feel good in your own body. Once you accept the fact that every single person is built differently and the number does not determine your self-worth your life will become better.

       Hi guys! It is time for another blog post. So today we are going to talk about lemon water. YES. You may have heard it through the grape vine, but it is not a rumor. If you add lemon to your water, especially in the morning, it is so good for you (it boosts your immune system and many other things). You can drink it cold or warm, it just depends on what you like. I am not a fan of warm beverages so I prefer it cold but everyone is different.

Day 3 - Inspiration Post (1)

HI PEOPLE!


           
         Hello, so this is going to be a different kind of post. Throughout my blogging I will be posting a few posts that stray from my typical posts. For this post I am going to discuss something that I saw on campus or around that I feel inspires me. 


       Today while I was walking to class I passed by these flowers at the dining hall. They instantly brightened my day. The day was pretty overcast so the contrast of the bright flowers and the gray sky instantly made me feel so much better. This is what I want my blog to do for people. I want people to visit my blog and feel a little better. Every journey has some rough patches but each day you can find something that makes it a little easier to keep going.
